osteopath robin adams
Robin's osteopathic approach is structural. He treats all manner of back ache and neck ache, as well as a host of other musculo-skeletal conditions including head aches. He is experienced in treating a wide age range from children through to the very elderly.

Robin Adams is a Principal Partner at West Country Osteopaths and Littleham Osteopathic clinic in Exmouth. He qualified at the College Of Osteopaths in London in 2000.

Robin has specialist skills in the following areas:

  • Foot Biomechanics – this enables Robin to treat many painful foot conditions as well as bridging the link, so often over-looked, between the function of the feet and how it contributes to painful conditions of the back, pelvis, knee and neck regions. Treatments include prescription orthotic insoles, exercise programmes, and in clinic treatments
  • Hypermobility – recent research into hypermobility (joint laxity) has uncovered connections with chronic joint pains, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, anxiety, digestive problems to name a few. Osteopathic treatment has dealt with some of the complications of hypermobility for many years, but recent developments in understanding have made osteopathy more relevant than ever.
  • Sports Injuries – running, cycling, football, rugby, cricket etc all contribute greatly to many peoples well being. Like it or not, the occasional injury is inevitable, and getting people back to sport following an injury is one of the most rewarding parts of Robin's work as an osteopath.

Robin moved to Devon from London in 2006, and he and his partner Allison have subsequently grown their family and now have two young boys. In addition to the many joys of raising young children, Robin also enjoys playing the guitar (not very well) and sailing (slightly better).

Robin Adams is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and a member of the British Osteopathic Association.
